About

I’ve been an IT consultant now for many years having started as a mainframe operator, moved on through programming and analysis to various personal computing support roles and finally to consulting covering subjects as diverse as MI/BI, Lotus Notes, networking, desktop operating systems, Enterprise Directories, Role Based Access control, Identity and Access Management and much more.

In more recent years, I have moved on to technology and information security management but still do my best to stay current with technology and science.

This is a small way to give a little back to the industry that has done well by me over the years. It’s nice to be able to share ideas and information that comes my way.

Julian Knight.

This page holds some of the design ideas for the blog. Some I’ve implemented, some I will implement at some time and the rest are just ideas right now. Basic Site Design for Much Ado About IT This blog is a convenient place for me to dump thoughts, ideas, moans, etc. related to Information Technology (IT) and Information Management (IM, IMT) in general. It will also occasionally get postings about other subjects all, at least vaguely related to technology and information.
